Getting the money or reward is your responsibility.  If it is a cash reward you have to claim it and for redemption of points you will have to log on to that particular site and go through the necessary steps.  Many a time it also happens that the rewards or redemption gifts are only a lottery system, and in spite of taking time to complete the survey you may not receive anything at all.

Normally one can earn $150 to $300 per year which is not much, but some money for spending time on the internet.  If anyone has fun doing surveys for products which are going to enter the market, then it works as the survey companies offer the product for you to evaluate.  This is a good method for companies to get an opinion from people before the actual launch and also helps the person participating to get something useful.

Surveys can take from 10 minutes to 30 minutes to complete and longer the duration better the incentive.  One can earn more if they register themselves with more survey companies so that they keep getting surveys to complete.  One can also earn a few extra bucks by joining the Focus Group discussions that take place from time to time.
